Container Technology: Now Available from aspectra

Containers offer many advantages and are an essential component of DevOps. Now aspectra presents its customers with an OpenShift farm for containers.


Highly available OpenShift platform

aspectra and VSHN, a leading Swiss DevOps company, have implemented a Red Hat OpenShift platform on our redundant server farm, complete with high performance Pure SSD storage. High availability and fast response times are guaranteed.

OpenShift components

At present, the aspectra OpenShift platform consists of fifteen components: Three master nodes with two load balancer nodes for administration and orchestration, three worker nodes with two load balancer nodes for the customer's pods/containers, three storage nodes for persistent data storage, plus one monitoring- and one backup node.

Service models

Customers can choose from three types of service packages:

  1. Projects on Shared Worker Nodes: A project is set up on aspectra's redundant worker nodes. Within this project, the customer can operate as many pods/containers as needed until the allocated resources are exhausted.
  2. Dedicated worker nodes: If you need your own worker nodes due to compliance or performance considerations, you have the option of obtaining them as VMs on shared or dedicated hardware.
  3. Dedicated OpenShift platform: Where compliance requirements are very strict (e.g. PCI DSS), aspectra can also provide a dedicated OpenShift environment on dedicated hardware.

Container and Compliance

aspectra is certified to ISO 27001 and in compliance with FINMA standards. Customers with high requirements for compliance will have the best of both worlds: Security and speed.
